According to a report published by CeNSE (Centre for Nano Science and Engineering), India published over 23,000 papers in Nanoscience by the end of 2013.
This was made possible because of the initiative taken by the Indian Government by starting a Nano Mission in May 2007.
The Department of Science and Technology were further made available with funding of Rs.1,000 crore for this 5-year research venture.
